Enduring Lifestyle

Welcome to the home of Holme Chase Residents Society (HCRS).
Holme Chase is a community of just over 60 homes, situated in Weybridge, Surrey. This website provides useful information for current and prospective residents as well as those interested in this important expression of 1960s architecture and placemaking.
Holme Chase is a product of the famous collaboration between celebrated modernist archtitect Eric Lyons and the developer Span. Strongly displaying Lyons’ trademarks of gentle density and a meticlously planned green landscape, the estate has been popular with families since it was completed in 1966.
Today, the estate brings together residents who have lived here since day one with newer arrivals, who have continue to find the estate is as suited to life in the 2020s as it was in the 1960s.
About HCRS
Holme Chase Residents Society
HCRS is an integral part of Holme Chase. All homeowners on the estate have a share in HCRS, which is a registered mutual society. It is responsible for the upkeep of all communal areas and also organises social activities. HCRS is also the focal point for exploring how the estate can adapt to the modern world, for example through the adoption of zero emmissions vehicles and renewable energy use.
HCRS is run by a committee of residents elected by residents at the AGM. Subcommittees manage all aspects of the society’s working, from finance to gardens to parking.
Each household pays a monthly subscription which funds professional landscaping, monthly window cleaning and a rolling programme of exterior painting.
